Our History
Grace Community Church began on March 12, 1989 with just twelve people who had great hopes for the future. Since that day, we have been growing...one family at a time. With every step of the way there have been new challenges and new needs to be met. By the grace of God, those challenges are being met. We continue to grow and reach out to the community and beyond with the message of Jesus Christ. Church Milestones
Our Purpose
"A Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a Great Church." - Matthew 22:37-38, 28:19-20
Grace Community Church is a purpose driven church based on the Great Commandment. Our goal is to help people develop their lives to the fullest, just as Jesus intended, and to help people acquire and develop the tools necessary to face the challenges of every day life.
Our programs are centered around the 5 purposes for the church:
- Become a follower of Jesus Christ and belong to a church family. Membership
- Grow in your spiritual journey. Maturity
- Serve others with your time and resources. Ministry
- Share your story and become a messenger of God's love. Missions
- Worship and honor God with your life. Magnification
What We Believe
- The Bible is God’s perfect guidebook for living.
- Nothing in creation just happened. God made it all.
- Faith in Jesus is the only way to have a relationship with God.
- Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us.
- Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.
- God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice, yet God can bring good even out of evil events, and He promises victory over evil to those who choose him.
- Heaven and hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not the end.
- The church is to serve people in the same way that Jesus served people.
- Jesus is coming again.
